Have your say on playing sports on Mississauga streets.

If you grew up in Canada, there’s a good chance you’ve played ball hockey or another sport in the street, yelling ‘car’ as a vehicle approached.

The City is reviewing its by-laws and seeking resident feedback on such playing sports and using sports equipment on local roads in Mississauga.  Currently, playing street sports are addressed on a complaint basis and issues are resolved through education.

At the Meeting held on November 6, 2024, Council voted 7 to 5 to uphold the ban on playing sports in the street.
