As a resident of Ward 6, you are invited to attend one of two upcoming Ward 6 Budget Meetings to learn more about the City of Mississauga’s 2026 Budget Planning Process and share your feedback.
City and Regional budget staff will be on hand to present information and answer questions about how your tax dollars are being managed.

Councillor Joe Horneck, Peel Regional Police Staff, City Staff and SafeCity Mississauga were on hand to discuss neighbourhood issues for those who live between Eglinton Avenue and Highway 403 from the Milton GO Train Line (see map) to Mavis Rd.
Topics of discussion included crime prevention, traffic safety and any neighbourhood concerns.

Councillor Joe Horneck and City of Mississauga Forestry and a group of dedicated volunteers planted 150 trees at Highlandview Park as part of our One Million Trees program to plant native trees and shrubs!

Councillor Joe Horneck, Region of Peel Police, City Staff and SafeCity Mississauga were on hand, September 24th, to discuss neighbourhood issues for those who live between Britannia Rd and Bristol Rd from Creditview Rd to Mavis Rd. Topics of discussion included crime prevention, traffic safety and any neighbourhood concerns.

The Hazel Heights Residents Association of the Durie Road / Carolyn Road neighbourhood held a Meet and Greet gathering on June 19 at the River Grove Community Community Centre.

Councillor Joe Horneck and City Staff from the Traffic Calming team were on hand June 15th to brief members of the Heatherleigh Avenue neighbourhood about proposed traffic calming measures coming to the street.
Traffic calming helps to reduce speeds on roadways to keep residents safe. It uses physical devices or design features of roads such as speed humps or raised pedestrian crossings to help reduce excessive traffic speeds.
