We are holding a 50th Anniversary Celebration for Woodlands Library and we invite you to volunteer!

On Saturday, June 7 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, The City of Mississauga, along with Councillor Joe Horneck, are hosting the Woodlands Library 50th Anniversary Celebration (3255 Erindale Station Road). The event will feature a bouncy inflatable slide, cotton candy, lemonade, fire truck, Animal Service display, merchandise, temporary tattoos, colouring and more.

We are looking for volunteers including high school students to assist with:

  • Directing people where to go.
  • Staffing the lemonade station.
  • Assisting with the cotton candy station.
  • Running the table for a free draw.
  • Giving kids free temporary tattoos.
  • Colouring with kids.
  • Helping with event setup and cleanup.
  • Helping with a bouncy castle slide.
  • And more.

It appears we are going to have more volunteers than we need. So, we will cut-off sign-ups on this page once we have enough people to help. Furthermore, not all volunteer applicants will be invited to participate. You must receive a confirmation email from us and we will have the name of people invited.

If you have friends who want to join you to volunteer, each person needs to sign-up and provide their information. We also encourage you to invite people who just want to come join the celebrations and not volunteer.

Volunteers Needed
Did you volunteer for our skating or clean-up events? *

The City of Mississauga has recently upgraded its volunteer onboarding process. This requires you to complete three forms. These forms ensure you are properly informed about the volunteering and that we are working for the welfare of all participants and residents. Please complete these forms and bring them with you to the volunteer activity. We are not permitted to have you join us as a volunteer without these signed documents. If you cannot print the documents, we will have copies at the event for you to sign, but if you are a minor, they also require the signature of a parent or guardian. You may also email them to william.pitcher@mississauga.ca in advance.
