Join our in-person info session about the future of two SmartCentres plaza sites on Burnhamthorpe Rd.

The City of Mississauga, in partnership with the Region of Peel, is evaluating the appropriateness of converting two employment sites to allow for sensitive uses, including residential development. Employment sites in this case means commercial business areas in the Mavis-Erindale area.

This matters because employment sites provide employment and important local services. On the other hand, Ontario needs more residential housing. Studying the Burnhamthorpe sites is also important to ensure there are no conflicts with adjacent areas used for industrial and other purposes.

At the meeting, you’ll learn the results of the study and next steps.

The meeting will take place Thursday, September 28 from 6 to 8pm in the Great Hall of the Mississauga Civic Centre (City Hall).
