June is Seniors’ Month in Ontario! To celebrate, the City has many planned activities, as well as drop-in programs for older adults and senior residents to take advantage of. Read below for more information.
Activities For Older Adults
Join us each weekday for free virtual programs for those ages 55 or older. Programs include recreational activities, art classes, informational sessions on important topics and other programs are available to seniors this month and throughout the year. Be ready for anything and enjoy the spontaneity of these sessions!
- June 9: Bingo at Mississauga Seniors’ Centre, 12:45 p.m.
- June 13: Laws Affecting Older Adults at Churchill Meadows Library, 2 p.m.
- June 13: Celebrations Around the World (Virtual), 7 p.m.
- June 14: Acrylic Floral Painting at Lorne Park Library, 10 a.m.
- June 27: Chamber Music Performances at Streetsville Library, 11 a.m.
- June 29: Leading and Learning with Pride (Virtual), 11 a.m.
- June 30: Chamber Music Performances at Sheridan Library, 10 a.m.
