Tree Planting by the City of Mississauga

The City of Mississauga has set a goal to plant one million trees by 2032. To date, we have planted almost 550,000.  We have been doing our part in Ward 6 as well. Since last year, we have planted 1,975 native trees and shrubs in the Ward.

This achievement has been accomplished via 17 events in 13 parks thanks to the help of 755 volunteers and key Forestry staff.

Check out the tables below to see what conscientious citizens of the city made happen:

Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped us achieve this progress. We cannot meet our million tree goal without you. Thank you as well to our Forestry Staff who organize our volunteer events.  If you are a part of you group and you would like to help us plant trees, visit the link below or call give our office a call. Please know that we only plant trees in the spring and fall to assist with the health of the transplanted saplings.
