Every October, Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario raise awareness about the important role that individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families through the provincial Dress Purple Day campaign. They are focusing on centring the voice of our children and youth where eradicating all forms of oppression, racism, intolerance, prejudice, and discrimination remains a top priority. Together we will continue to speak up for every child and youth’s right to safety and well-being in all spaces.

They have a number of initiatives planned throughout the month including our Dress Purple Day Community Event on Friday, October 27 from 2pm – 6pm outside at Peel CAS (25 Capston Dr., Mississauga). They would be honoured if you would join them as the event features stories from the youth they support, interactive service booths from departments across their organisation, along with special presentations from their community partners and dignitaries (event schedule attached). RSVP details are available here.

Please visit peelcas.org/DressPurple for further information on how you can get involved in the awareness campaign this year.
